But if you don’t understand how people use the Internet, then you probably won’t be successful at marketing your business online.

And it can be summarized in one word – content.

Everyone on the Internet is consuming content.

Whether that’s in your email inbox, an Instagram news feed, or even in this post, content is the magnet that captures people’s attention.

This means if your business does not have any content, then you effectively have no way of generating attention on the Internet.

No content. No attention. No traffic. No customers.

When you’re posting on social media, or writing website pages, or blogs…

• Are you publishing from a place of providing as much pure value as possible?
• Or are you posting with the intent to sell something to someone?

People today can fish out a sale tactic from a mile away. We can almost instantly tell when someone is trying to get something from us.

So the best sales and marketing tactics today are to not sell at all, and instead, be 100% transparent and provide value.
